Hello Washington!
The Town’s water system will be temporarily shut down tomorrow, Tuesday, 12/23/2025, beginning at 9:00 a.m. to repair a water main. We anticipate restoring water service by around 1:00 p.m., but this timing may change depending on conditions in the field. Please make preparations to be without normal water pressure and flow during this period. We will provide an update as soon as the repair is complete and system pressure is restored.

Why are you doing this now?
School is not in session, so disruptions to the school are minimized. In addition, current weather conditions are well suited to safely complete a significant water main repair.
What if I turn my water on after 9:00 a.m. or when the system is shut down?
Not a problem. If you still have pressure and flow, you may continue to use your water as usual.
How long will the water be off?
We are planning for about a four-hour disruption, but we can’t foretell the future. It may be shorter; or, if Murphy’s Law applies, unfortunately it could be longer.
Will we definitely have water pressure and flow at 1:00 p.m.?
That cannot be promised. We will send notifications as soon as the system is back on, and please understand it will take time for pressure to rebuild across the system.
